Legalize all drugs. This creates job opportunities in the country, allows businesses to develop normally which increases loan takeouts and therefore American bank profits, allows taxation which could definitely go to covering healthcare for all including anti-drug abuse therapy, helps workers to work and as such boosts the national economy in every way, dramatically reduces gangs, and allows the countries like Mexico that have centered their economy around the crimes they commit elsewhere to finally be able to take on the cartels for themselves.
It's a huge economic boon, and to continue to ignore it is not just stupid. It's deadly.
